Indoor-outdoor rug
- 100% recycled PET
- Flatweave: approximately .62" thick (16 mm)
- Color palette: evergreen, emerald green, sandstone
- If used indoors, rug pad highly recommended for comfort, stability, and longevity
- A 5% variance in size, color and texture is to be expected
- Please note: continuous sun exposure will cause slight fading
Care
Vacuum guidance:
- Clean on low power with a non-rotary vacuum or suction attachment (no spinning brush) only
- Lightly vacuum the rug once a week
- Use a high-quality rug pad to absorb shock and reduce damage to the pile
Spot cleaning instructions:
- Do not dry clean or steam clean
- Lightly dampen a paper towel or cloth with clean water
- Gently blot the affected area with your damp towel or cloth to dilute the stain
- If the stain persists, try using an unscented, citrus-free, clear soap to avoid bleaching the textile.
- Repeat this process until the stain is removed
Normal wear expectations:
- Light shedding, matting, and signs of fiber or thread breakage may occur over time, depending on the material and weave. In high-traffic areas, these effects may appear more quickly.
Outdoor care:
- This indoor/outdoor rug can be rinsed off and cleaned with a hose. Hang dry in a well-ventilated area.
- As is typical with any outdoor rug, please note that prolonged sun exposure may fade rug fibers over time.

The Design
Beautify your bedroom (or patio) with our indoor-outdoor Shima rug, designed to look good wherever you style it. Woven in a chunky flatweave, Shima pays homage to ’90s minimalism with clean lines, a neutral palette, and an understated silhouette. Plus, it’s so soft, you’d never guess it’s made from recycled plastic bottles.
The Material
Designed for indoor and outdoor use, these soft rugs are made from recycled PET (aka plastic bottles that would normally end up in landfills). PET fibers have a non-porous structure that resists moisture and mildew. Both durable and lightweight, these rugs are easily spot cleaned or rinsed off with a hose.
The Maker
Our partner is a third-generation family-run weaving house in Panipat. Loyal to the principles of fine craftsmanship, they’re also making efforts to minimize pollution in their industry. In all of what they make, they prioritize tradition, quality and an eye for detail.
The Designer
Our in-house, all-star design team works across Los Angeles, Istanbul, Bhadohi, and Mumbai. Starting with the weave itself, they determine the collection material, technique, and mood. When designs are finalized, they conduct an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and hue before it goes to production.
