Mixed-fiber flatweave
- Polyester, jute, and wool
- You may find traces of dried hay, grass, or straw in your rug as grazing sheep often collect plant matter in their coats. Remove gently by hand or with tweezers.
- Authentic wool fibers were used to weave this rug. Please note that when wool gets damp, it will smell like a wet sheep. This is the scent of lanolin, which acts as a waxy barrier against dirt and moisture.
- Flatweave: approximately .39" thick (10mm)
- Color palette: olive green, moss green, bone beige
- Cotton backing
- Rug pad highly recommended for comfort, stability, and longevity
- Due to its handmade nature a 5% variance in size, color and texture is to be expected
Care
+
- Clean on low power with a non-rotary vacuum or suction attachment (no spinning brush) only
- Lightly vacuum the rug once a week
- Professional cleaning recommended as needed.
- Rotate your rug on occasion to ensure even wear over time.
- Keep away from excessive moisture.
- Use a high-quality rug pad to absorb shock and reduce damage
- Light shedding, matting, and signs of fiber or thread breakage may occur over time, depending on the material and weave. In high-traffic areas, these effects may appear more quickly.
- Spot cleaning instructions:
- Lightly dampen a paper towel or cloth with clean water
- Gently blot the affected area with your damp towel or cloth to dilute the stain
- If the stain persists, try using an unscented, citrus-free, clear soap to avoid bleaching the textile.
- Repeat this process until the stain is removed

The Collection
The Bop Collection is our latest collaboration with artist K'era Morgan. Bop's rhythmic designs are based on her original artwork, and while they aren't centered on a singular visual theme, the Pattern and Decoration Movement did influence K'era's thinking. She's drawn to the movement's ethos, noting that "beautiful and pleasurable objects are just as legitimate and important as 'fine art' paintings, sculptures, etc." We couldn't agree more.
The Design
Zoe Monet was an integral collaborator in developing the composition, rhythmic patterns, and color story of this collection. Ina's organic and meandering all-over pattern retains its hand-drawn quality.
The Material
In this piece, jute, wool, and polyester are blended for texture. Jute is a natural fiber with a golden sheen, known for its tensile strength and versatility. Wool has a hydrophobic layer which repels dust and dirt, as well as lanolin, which provides its trademark luster and protects it from breaking or shedding. Polyester is extremely soft and durable, and beloved for its pleasing drape and ease in dying. Finally, a cotton backing adds stability and strength.
The Maker
Our partner in India has 19 years of weaving expertise. Committed to expanding their renewable energy sources, they've installed a solar plant to reduce their carbon footprint. They also hold Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) and OEKO-TEX® certifications.
The Designer
K'era Morgan is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist whose expressive abstract paintings explore the underlying patterns and energetic forces that shape and connect us. She earned a BFA in textile design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and this foundational background informs her approach to scale, pattern, and surface. Alongside her studio practice, she founded k-apostrophe, a homeware line that translates her artwork into woven, knitted, and printed designs in collaboration with artisans in the U.S., Mexico, and the U.K. The collection has garnered wide recognition in the design world, including a cover feature in Dwell Magazine’s Emerging Designers Issue. Morgan's paintings have been exhibited across the United States and are held in private and public collections internationally.
