Soft and textural washable rug
- 100% polyester
- Flatweave: approximately .18" thick (4-5mm)

- A 5% variance in size, color and texture is to be expected
- Please note: this piece is designed to be pliable so it more easily fits in a washing machine. As such, we *highly* recommend you pair it with a rug pad for stability, comfort, and longevity. Trust us-it's worth it.
Care
- Clean on low power with a non-rotary vacuum or suction attachment (no spinning brush) only
- Lightly vacuum the rug once a week
- Use a high-quality rug pad to absorb shock and reduce damage
- When it's time for a deeper clean, machine wash your rug with like colors on delicate with 1 TBSP of gentle detergent. Line dry afterwards.
- For sizes up to 5' x 8' we recommend a 4.5cu ft home washing machine, for 6' x 9' we recommend a 4.7cu ft home washing machine, and for 8' x 10' we recommend a 5.4cu ft commercial washing machine. Please call your local laundromat ahead of time to determine if the right washer size is available.
- For sizes 9' x 12' and above, spot or dry clean.
- Be sure to wash rugs according to their recommended washing machine size capacity. Please note: failure to adhere to size recommendations could result in damage to your machine.
- If your rug is heavily soiled, or if it's tough to find a laundromat, dry cleaning is recommended
- A slight shrinkage of up to 2% can be expected for all washable rugs
- Foot traffic and movement can skew the fiber direction of your rug. For a more uniform look, brush your rug with your hand to smooth and reorient the pile.
- Spot cleaning instructions:
- Lightly dampen a paper towel or cloth with clean water
- Gently blot the affected area with your damp towel or cloth to dilute the stain
- If the stain persists, try using an unscented, citrus-free, clear soap to avoid bleaching the textile.
- Repeat this process until the stain is removed
Details
The Collection
Danish for clean, our washable Ren Collection has a refined, timeless simplicity. Inspired by the ethos of Scandinavian design, our designers relied on crisp linework and symmetry. Recessed motifs add texture by creating visual and tactile contrast between high and low. These pieces are woven with stain-resistant polyester chenille that feels soft and fuzzy underfoot.
The Design
Kam’s interlocking architectural shapes are inspired by Nordic Classicism.
The Material
French for caterpillar, chenille is a velvety material created by twisting short pieces of yarn, called piles, between two longer yarns. Ours is made with durable polyester for easy vacuuming, spot-cleaning, and machine washing. Soft yet sturdy, it’s both mildew and stain-resistant.
The Maker
Our partner is an established weaving house with over 40 years of experience. They’re OEKO-TEX® and GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified, meaning they meet strict standards for textile safety, as well as environmental and social practices.
The Designer
Our in-house, all-star design team collaborates across three different countries. Based in Los Angeles, Istanbul, and Mumbai, they put a lot of thought into each and every collection they design. Starting with the weave itself, they determine material and technique, then create moodboards to capture the look and feel before starting to design. When designs are finalized, they conduct an extensive sampling process, perfecting each style and color before it goes to production.
