Foot traffic and movement can skew the fiber direction of your rug. For a more uniform look, brush your rug with your hand or a stiff plastic bristle brush to smooth and reorient the pile.
Details
Design
Our washable Damita Collection is inspired by the 1997 music video Got ’til It’s Gone, by Janet Jackson, Joni Mitchell, and Q-Tip. Visually, this video references the hot 1960’s summer night party scene immortalized by Malian photographer Malick Sidibe. Dynamic geometries swoop and slither in these pieces, all done in earthy neutrals. Mali features subtle, surprising stripes that occasionally overlap a series of vertical columns. These point skyward towards a temple ceiling made up of shifting triangles.

We made a better washable rug. Made of recycled materials and done in calm neutrals, with an extraordinarily comfortable pile, these pieces are not mats: they’re the real deal, thick and soft to cushion every step. Plus, their lightness and foldability makes washing easy.

Before anything is sketched, our in-house design team starts with the weave. Materials, technique, and style then emerge. When finalized, Studio Revival rugs are sampled extensively until each piece is just right.

Maker
Our weaving partner began as a small, family-run operation with just two looms. 50 years later, they've established themselves as an award-winning weaving house that produces their own yarn.
