While we recommend a rug pad for all rugs, they’re especially important for flatweaves, whose slim profile requires extra padding.

The right rug pad

A must-have for flatweaves and other lower-pile pieces, a rug pad is the secret ingredient to maintaining your rug’s appearance and longevity. Width-wise, you’ll want to trim your rug pad so it’s 1-2” shorter than your rug on all four sides. Height-wise, we offer two premium rug pad options, both made of cozy recycled felt and natural rubber.

To wash, use 1 TBSP of clear, unscented detergent on a cold gentle cycle
Hang dry or tumble dry low. Slight shrinkage of up to 2% can be expected

Vacuum on low power with a non-rotary vacuum or suction attachment
Light shedding, fiber breakage, and matting may occur in high-traffic areas

Foot traffic and movement can skew the fiber direction of your rug. For a more uniform look, brush your rug with your hand or a stiff plastic bristle brush to smooth and reorient the pile.

Ondu is a washable chenille rug with ripples of waves pulsing through its two-tone palette.

Before anything is sketched, our in-house design team starts with the weave. Materials, technique, and style then emerge. When finalized, Studio Revival rugs are sampled extensively until each piece is just right.

Material

French for caterpillar, chenille is a velvety material created by twisting pieces of yarn together. This piece is made with OEKO-TEX® certified polyester, independently tested to the highest standards of environmental and textile safety.

Maker

Our partner is an established weaving house with over 40 years of experience, they hold OEKO-TEX and GRS certifications for textile safety and responsible environmental practices.
